Activities include Quad Trails and Tracks; Bike Trails; Abseiling; Archery, Mountain Boarding; Paintball; Zip line; Daily Rafting Trips and many others. Based at Dragon Peaks Resort has a range of white water tubing, abseiling, kloofing, paintball, mountain bike trails and other adventurous activities. Led by trained guides, you glide between platforms perched in trees and on cliff faces. The inspiring nature of the majestic Drakensberg, the ancient indigenous forest, waterfalls and the cascading stream make this an opportunity not to be missed. Let them show you the Drakensberg and its surroundings. Berghavens dams are stocked with Bass, which you are more than welcome to fish on. Other fishing can be done at Spioenkop Dam and Bell Park. It’s a 2 hour walk through indigenous forests with a lovely (yet chilly) pool to swim in at your destination. An opportunity to see, feel and learn about a range of reptiles. View Bees in a Glass Hive and dress up in a Bee Suit and experience handling bees for yourself. The school also has two annual concert weekends with visiting choirs and other performers. Visit African Loomers based at Ardmore Guest Farm for beautiful hammocks. The charming centre, which is covered by a thatched roof, was designed by a group of artists, and houses an impressive variety of small shops, galleries, playground, restaurant, bar and a tea garden, as well as the Central Berg Tourist Information Centre. Filled to the brim with tasty treats, fresh pastries, cakes and tarts and fresh-out-the-oven baked bread. While relaxing you can view the local artwork displayed on the walls, also available to purchase. Scrumpy Jacks stock a wide range of items including wines, homemade jams and preserves, cheeses, farm biltong, delicious honey brittles and light meals. Waffle Hut serves a variety of savoury and sweet pancakes and waffles, as well as light meals.
